How to read and enable Intelligent Mail Bar code or 4-State bar codes (4CB). Which scanner reads 4-CB, OneCode, 4-State Customer Bar code, Intelligent Mail postal code? What scanners can read the IMB code symbology?
Although Intelligent Mail Bar code is very similar to linear codes, the bars have different heights, which both defined the encoding and gave the symbology its original name '4-state' as there are 4 different bar heights. A 2D Area Imager is required to read Intelligent Mail Bar code as 1D linear imagers and laser engines are not capable of recognizing this characteristic in a bar code.
