PX4i- How to clear a print job? PX4i - won't stop printing PM43- how to clear the print buffer.
Printer Hardware: All using managed print queues
There is no command which can sent to immediately cancel printing on Intermec printers. If a print job is sent but then needs to be cancelled...
Make sure no other queues, servers, workstations or processes are also sending to the printer in question. If any other print jobs are coming in to the printer in question, an action taken at the printer to stop the undesired print job may loose all or part of those print jobs as well. Clear the print queue in question - at the server or workstation - but allow the printer to keep printing.
If no other print jobs are coming in to the printer in question, turn off the printer and leave it off while the queue in question is cleared
If the print queue in question is on a personal workstation, clear it. Note that the spooler - or Windows itself - may need to be restarted to finish clearing the workstation's print queue.
If the print queue in question is on a server, contact the server's administrator and request that they clear the queue. Note that the spooler - or the server itself - may need to be restarted to finish clearing the server's print queue. As other processes, programs, and print queues may reside on the server, this can take some time.
Once the queue has been cleared, turn the printer back on. NOTE: if part of the print job was sent out before the queue was cleared, a few labels may be printed, after start up.
