Laser engine displays a red dot and no line at all. Has beam, but does not scan barcodes.
When after pressing the scan key a red dot is presented, which can also after sometime disappear and there is no red line displayed at all, this indicates a hardware failure of the scan engine. The device must be send in for repair to a Honeywell authorized Service & Repair department or via the Honeywell Online RMA Process. See therefore the Honeywell Website.
